About Oras Washington
Oras Washington Entertainment has over 40 years experience of “Rockin’ parties. In 1982 DJ Oras Washington developed passion for DJing, while in his Senior year in High School, he did his first professional gig, opening for the legendary Cameron Paul.
During his college years at U.C Davis, he not only became one of the top DJ’s in the area, he also had the top Hip Hop Radio show in the Sacramento Valley at KDVS Radio Station. 1989 back in the Bay Area, while still DJing, Oras began working in the comedy industry and other event promotions.
From there Oras Washington entertainment was born.
Working on such projects as the Bay Area Black Comedy Competition, Comedy at Pasand Lounge, Geoffrey’s, Mingles, Dorsey’s Locker, working with top name comics such as Jamie Foxx, Eddie Griffin, D.L. Hughly and Don “D. C.” Curry just to name a few. In 2000 he helped found Comedy Access Inc. and the annually successful Comedy on the High Seas, Comedy Cruise on the Mexican Riviera featuring such comics as Alex Thomas, Shang, and A.J. Jamal.
Oras has DJ’ed all across the country
